Business & Professional League

Contributions of the Business and Professional League to Fayetteville and Cumberland County include:

  • The formation of United National Bank, the first and only minority owned bank in Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
  • The development of the Fayetteville Minority Business Development Center
  • Since 1967, the League has been an effective catalyst and advocate for minority business growth via meetings and workshops about business opportunities.
  • The League has also been a major source of technical, management, mentoring, and consulting support for minority entrepreneurs.

Contributions of the Business and Professional League to Fayetteville State University (FSU) include:

  • A rich working relationship with Dr. Grace Black, founder of the FSU School of Business and Economics.
  • An annual financial contribution to the Chancellor.
  • An academic award to a FSU Business School scholar.
  • Wise advice and letters of support for the Incubator and Bronco Square proposals.
  • Agreeing to assist the FSU Incubator by preparing a minority Business Directory.
  • Agreeing to provide consulting services to the FSU Incubator tenants.
