Southern Region Area Health Education Center operates under a
contract with Duke University to provide health education services
to a nine-county region in south-central North Carolina. Through
the Duke University contract, SR-AHEC is affiliated with Duke
University Medical Center and associated with the North Carolina
AHEC Program, based at the University of North Carolina School
of Medicine.
