Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY)
Professional Services
Fayetteville Regional Airport, code FAY, is the commercial airport for Fayetteville, Fort Bragg and a 12-county region, owned and run by the City of Fayetteville. It sits on Airport Road south of downtown, reached from Interstate 95 at Exit 44 by way of Claude Lee Road. Scheduled passenger service comes from two carriers: American Airlines flies daily to its Charlotte hub and Delta Air Lines flies daily to its Atlanta hub, so most trips connect through one of those cities. The airport reports nearly 500,000 travelers a year. The terminal opens at 4 a.m., and TSA screening runs from 3:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. through two checkpoints, one by the first-floor ticket counters and one upstairs at the concourse entrance. Past security, the second floor has Tailwind Restaurant and Concessions, and a USO lounge for service members and families operates inside the secure area on Concourse B. A multi-phase terminal renovation finished in December 2024. Rental cars from Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National/Alamo and Thrifty, plus taxis, are available at the terminal.
